I stopped in here for lunch while in town for work because of the great Google reviews. It didn't disappoint! They had a great lunch special that was really cheap and looked delicious, but I was hankering for a hamburger steak. I got mine smothered in brown gravy, like any good red blooded American southern man would do, and a side of mashed potatoes and fried okra. It was all really delicious. It was also REALLY busy, but the service was attentive and quick. A good sign of a great restaurant is a packed parking lot! I would not hesitate to send anyone here for a solid meat and three.

Great place for a home cooked meal. I like the grilled pork chops and the fried cubed steak the best. They are a great local restaurant and would recommend to anyone.

Great place to eat! From the moment you walk in you will get a "where everybody knows your name" feeling. If you want southern cooking with a down home atmosphere, go to JR's. Try the pork chops and sweet potato casserole!

Great family restaurant, great service and food.

This was my first time at this restaurant. Highly recommend. I had the ribeye special and it was cooked to order perfectly. The kiddos had the Philly cheese steak. A little too much salt but very good. Service was 5 star. Excellent place. I will be back.

Service is always good at Jr's. They recently redid the place and it looks really nice and clean. They allow you to order a child's portion and I really appreciate that. The food is not Gourmet but it is good and one of the reasons it is good is because it is convenient in the Smiths Station area. Their prices are reasonable. The folks are always friendly and service is always good.

Like a country dinner, pricing was very reasonable and serve was great. We ate chicken and sides. Didnt try the steak as it was later after a long day.

The food was amazing. The service was great. Will difinately return and recommend to everyone. The steak was one of the best I've ever had. The fried shrimp was perfect and seasoned to perfection.

My friend had a much bigger piece of steak than me, wasent told the side salad counted as two sides. Staff is great..

Took my wife and grand daughter to JR's steakhouse for lunch today. We were looking for something different and we found it at JR's . The steaks were very delicious! And the sides were great ! The sweat tea was made just right ! We loved it and definitely will come back soon . A + service by our waitress and cook ! Highly recommended is you want to relax and eat in a Christian environment restaurant . Thank's to all the staff at JR's Steakhouse , we loved our meals ! The Thomas family. God is Able ....❤

Horrible cost me $60 and we didn't even finish but they were nice

Been going to JRs for years. Great place to come sit and be with family. Always friendly service and the owner will always make sure things are good at your table. Awesome place to eat.

JR's had a great local home town feel, with even better food. We had great waitress who was quick and nice. And finally, for how reasonably priced the meals are, you could take your whole family out and not break the bank.So to sum up:Service: 5 starsPrice: 5 starsTaste: 5 stars*And I'm not just saying that because they use my initials hahahaha*

Best tasting food in town at a great price.

Absolutely hands down best home cooked meal I've had while eating out. The food was amazing and there was so much we all have enough for lunch the next day. Our waitress was very patient with our indecisive kids and even us while asking a bunch of questions. The hamburger steak was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of gravy. A wonderful meal not far from the house. We will definitely be returning!
